Jeff Smith; CEO of Insight Training

Jeff Smith is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Insight Group of Companies and is the Author of books for the Motor Industry that focus on improving operation performance for dealers and improving customer satisfaction.
His books include The KPI Book, How to make more profit with your Service Department, and he’s currently writing a further 2 books which are How to make more profit with your Bodyshop and How to make more profit with your used cars.
Jeff Smith is regarded by many as one of the world’s leading business improvement strategists. He is particularly well known for his ability to convey complex information into jargon busting, plain English that everyone understands. Speaking at conferences, you’ll often hear him say:
“If you have a great idea, but you can’t explain it to others,
then you can’t make a positive change in the workplace.
Clarity is Power.”
As well as being one of the Motor Industry’s top trainers and consultants, in 1999 he became a founder member of the Professional Speakers Association of Europe and has appeared many times as a Motor Industry expert on Sky Television.
Jeff Smith has a career that spans more than 20 years within the Motor Industry. He has progressed through the Sales Department to become Dealer Principal and then to Divisional Director within a retail motor group. He followed this by becoming an Author, Consultant and Trainer to the Motor Industry and during this time he’s worked with many manufacturers developing their profit improvement programmes for New Vehicle Sales, Used Vehicle Sales, Aftersales and Business Management for Directors, Dealer Principals and Line Managers.
As well as speaking at conferences and product launches around the world, Jeff continues to work with manufacturers developing training courses for their dealer networks and he also runs open training courses and bespoke in-house programmes for individual dealerships and major groups.
Jeff also writes a monthly article called Profit Builder which you can obtain free of charge by email and he’s currently writing a whole series of books and computer programmes that help you to make more profit in all areas of your dealership.
Although he is an Author, Consultant and Trainer, he is particularly proud of the fact that he has “done the job himself” very successfully before he came into the world of training and he therefore has a unique perspective on the industry.
He does not teach you about theory; he teaches you practical applications that improve your profitability in the real world.
